Finance Team Lead

About the role

The Finance Team Lead will head the Record to Report function within a multi‑entity, international organisation. You will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust controls and driving continuous improvement across finance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing Record to Report team, fostering a culture of accountability.
• Manage team priorities and resources to ensure consistent delivery across multiple entities and international stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships across finance and the wider business, identifying opportunities for process improvement.
• Drive standardisation, simplification and enhancement of finance operations.
• Ensure Record to Report processes are well‑controlled, documented and aligned with service level agreements.
• Maintain a robust financial control environment and ensure compliance with internal policies and governance.
• Oversee the integrity of the general ledger, including journals, reconciliations, accruals and period‑end close activities.
• Support statutory, regulatory and tax reporting requirements.
• Partner with Finance Leadership and Internal Audit to strengthen controls and improve financial processes.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or finalist.
• Experience in Record to Report, Financial Control or Shared Services environments.
• Proven experience leading or supervising finance teams.
• Strong understanding of financial controls, governance and compliance.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, international setting and build effective stakeholder relationships.
