Finance/Accounts Manager – Property Block Management (Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Finance/Accounts Manager to lead the accounting function for a portfolio of 45 residential blocks in Camden. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will ensure accurate service‑charge accounting, cash‑flow management and compliance with property‑management regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain service‑charge accounts for residential developments.
• Coordinate with external accountants and auditors on certified accounts.
• Reconcile service‑charge and reserve‑fund accounts and monitor cash flow.
• Produce annual service‑charge budgets in collaboration with Block Managers.
• Oversee client bank accounts, perform regular bank reconciliations and ensure compliance with client‑money regulations.
• Manage debt collection, monitor arrears and work with Block Managers to recover balances.
• Generate monthly management accounts, financial reports and provide analysis to the Director and Block Managers.
• Control supplier payments, contractor invoices and authorise payment runs.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years’ finance experience within the property or block‑management sector.
• Strong understanding of service‑charge accounting and related regulations.
• Ability to work independently and manage a diverse portfolio.
