Financial Accountant – Controls & Best Practice (Interim)

About the role
We are partnering with a globally recognised consumer business to find a Financial Accountant who will support a key finance transformation programme. The role focuses on reviewing processes, improving controls and shaping best‑practice finance approaches within a complex, multi‑site organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Review accounting activity and financial controls.
- Support process improvement and best‑practice initiatives.
- Prepare reporting, reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Assist with statutory and audit requirements.
- Partner with finance and operations stakeholders.
- Help strengthen processes during the transformation.
Required profile
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- Experience in large, multi‑site organisations.
- Strong understanding of accounting and controls.
- Preferably audit‑trained background.
- Confident communicator able to challenge and influence.
- Advanced Excel and systems proficiency.
