Financial Accountant – French Speaking

About the role

The French‑speaking Financial Accountant will be based in one of our UK offices and will own the accounting and reporting for a France‑based subsidiary while supporting entities across Spain, Holland, Ireland and the US. Reporting to the Head of International Finance, the role offers exposure to month‑end close, IFRS reporting and cross‑border finance system integration.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the month‑end close for the France entity, including journal entries, general ledger and financial statements.
• Maintain the local finance system and upload results to the group finance platform.
• Support finance‑systems integration, mapping and consolidation projects.
• Prepare and review balance‑sheet reconciliations, ensuring robust controls and compliance.
• Assist with IFRS reporting and adherence to internal policies.
• Partner with executive stakeholders to deliver regular financial and trading information.
• Provide support for internal and external audit activities.
• Identify and drive process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Fluent in French with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Extensive experience in financial accounting and month‑end close.
• Proven ability to work with multiple finance systems.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive and committed to continuous improvement.
