Financial Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a newly qualified or part‑qualified accountant to join our finance team on a hybrid basis (three days in the Tadley office and two days remote). The role offers exposure to a global business, supporting operations across the UK, Europe and the US while contributing to continuous improvement of finance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, inventory and fixed assets.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes, preparing journals and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reports and assist with statutory reporting, VAT returns and audit requirements.
• Collaborate with FP&A teams on margin analysis, forecasting and cash‑flow planning.
• Assist with payroll processing and liaison with external payroll providers.
• Drive process‑improvement initiatives across finance systems and controls.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified, newly qualified or late‑stage accounting student.
• Previous experience in a month‑end or financial accounting role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with international stakeholders.
• Proactive, hands‑on attitude with a desire to improve processes.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience using ERP systems.
