Financial Accountant – £30k‑£35k + Benefits

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join a large international organisation in West Bromwich. This position is ideal for a part‑qualified, finalist or newly qualified accountant who wants to deepen technical accounting expertise within a complex multi‑entity environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the month‑end close process, including journal entries, accruals and pre‑payments.
• Prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations and inter‑company reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Maintain fixed‑asset accounting records.
• Contribute to statutory accounts preparation and year‑end audit support.
• Help with VAT returns and broader compliance requirements.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial controls and reporting accuracy.
• Participate in finance transformation and systems‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA part‑qualified and actively studying.
• Experience in financial accounting, audit, reporting or record‑to‑report.
• Strong understanding of balance‑sheet reconciliations and month‑end processes.
• Proficient Excel and analytical abilities.
