Financial Accountant UK & Ireland

About the role

As a Financial Accountant within the retail industry, you will manage financial reporting, compliance and analysis for the UK & Ireland region. Based in Hertfordshire, this temporary role requires a hands‑on approach to ensure accurate and timely financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports for the UK & Ireland region.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Manage reconciliations of accounts and financial statements.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Analyse financial data to support decision‑making processes.
• Collaborate with internal departments to streamline financial operations.
• Identify and implement process improvements in financial reporting.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong technical accounting knowledge of relevant standards.
• Experience in financial reporting and compliance within a corporate setting.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with teams and stakeholders.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude.

What we offer

• Daily rate between £198 and £242, dependent on experience.
