Financial Accountant (up to £40,000)

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join a large international organisation’s finance team in West Bromwich. This position offers a great opportunity for a part‑qualified, finalist or newly qualified accountant to develop technical accounting expertise in a multi‑entity environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the month‑end close process, including journals, accruals, pre‑payments and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly financial reporting and analysis.
• Maintain fixed‑asset accounting and inter‑company reconciliations.
• Support statutory accounts preparation and year‑end audits.
• Assist with VAT and broader compliance requirements.
• Improve financial controls, processes and reporting accuracy.
• Contribute to finance transformation and systems‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA part‑qualified and actively studying.
• Experience in financial accounting, audit, reporting or record‑to‑report.
• Strong understanding of balance‑sheet reconciliations and month‑end processes.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
