Financial Controller (6‑month contract)

About the role
The Financial Controller will join Nigel Wright Group for an initial six‑month period, with the potential to become permanent. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with Finance Business Partners, the role ensures the integrity of financial records and the delivery of statutory and management reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of financial accounting and statutory reporting.
- Oversee transaction processing, controls, and treasury & cash management.
- Ensure tax compliance, including UK and EU VAT obligations.
- Lead and develop the finance team.
- Provide accurate management information to senior leadership.
Required profile
- Qualified Accountant preferred; experienced candidates considered.
- Significant experience in financial accounting, statutory reporting and tax compliance.
- Knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS and EU VAT.
- Experience in high‑volume, multi‑channel e‑commerce or retail environments.
Required skills
- ERP and accounting systems proficiency.
