Financial Controller – Fast‑Growing Soap Manufacturer

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Financial Controller to lead the finance function of a fast‑growing soap and personal‑care manufacturer. You will partner with the Managing Director to drive financial performance, support strategic investments and ensure robust governance as the business scales from £20m to £70m in annual turnover.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain strong financial controls and reporting processes.
• Produce accurate, timely management accounts and financial statements.
• Analyse cost structures, support budgeting and forecasting cycles.
• Provide financial insight for investment decisions and long‑term strategy.
• Lead, develop and mentor the finance team.
• Manage risk and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

Required profile

• Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
• Significant experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a finance team.
• Experience with business intelligence (BI) tools.
• Knowledge of food, personal‑care or contract manufacturing sectors is desirable.
