Financial Controller – Fixed‑Term (6‑12 months)

About the role

BizTX is seeking a Financial Controller on a 6‑12 month fixed‑term contract to stabilise daily finance operations, implement robust processes and deliver accurate reporting. You will work closely with the Shared Service Centre in Poland and act as the key finance interface for the business.

Key responsibilities

• Own day‑to‑day financial control, ensuring accurate and timely supplier payments via the Shared Service Centre.
• Manage purchase‑order creation, commitments and invoice validation (no PO, no pay).
• Ensure costs are correctly recharged to business units according to agreed models.
• Lead month‑end close activities including accruals, journals, reconciliations and timetable discipline.
• Produce monthly reporting, variance analysis and clear financial commentary.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with accurate actuals and spend visibility.
• Improve end‑to‑end P2P and close processes as the primary finance liaison with Shared Services.
• Drive finance clean‑up projects to clear historic balances, improve data quality and fix broken processes.

Required profile

• Qualified or part‑qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Extensive controllership experience covering month‑end close, accounts payable, purchase orders and cost recharges.
• Experience working with shared service centres.
• Advanced spreadsheet proficiency and solid financial reporting skills.
• Pragmatic, delivery‑focused and comfortable in a contractor/change environment.
