Financial Controller – High‑Growth PE‑Backed Services Business

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Controller to join a fast‑moving, private‑equity‑backed services business in Altrincham. This commercial, senior‑level position sits at the heart of the organisation, providing finance leadership that directly influences strategic decisions and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close, management accounts, budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Deliver insightful commercial analysis to support profitability and growth initiatives.
• Partner with senior leadership on strategic and operational decisions.
• Act as the primary finance contact for banks, investors and external advisors.
• Strengthen financial controls, processes and discipline as the business scales.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance business partner in a fast‑paced environment.
• Commercially minded with the ability to translate numbers into actionable decisions.
• Comfortable working in PE‑backed or high‑growth businesses.
• Driven, curious and eager to make a tangible impact.

Required skills

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification.
