Financial Controller

About the role

We are looking for a commercially‑minded Financial Controller to own the finance function of a fast‑growing, purpose‑led organisation. You will partner closely with the Directors and operational leaders while remaining hands‑on with day‑to‑day financial management, providing insight, controls and leadership to support the next stage of growth.

Key responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts, commentary and financial insight.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Support strategic decision‑making through analysis and financial modelling.
• Maintain strong financial controls and balance‑sheet integrity.
• Oversee day‑to‑day finance operations, including ledger management and reconciliations.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and reporting.
• Partner with operational stakeholders across the business.
• Manage and develop a Finance Assistant.
• Support the business through continued growth, change and expansion.

Required profile

• Attitude, personality and collaborative approach are valued over specific sector experience.
• Current experience as a Financial Controller or Finance Manager ready for broader leadership.
• Commercially‑focused, pragmatic and hands‑on.
• Ability to coach, mentor and build strong relationships.

• Salary range £55,000 – £70,000 per year.
