Financial Controller

About the role

Our client, a well‑established manufacturing business in north Leeds, is seeking a high‑calibre Financial Controller. The role is hands‑on and focused on delivering accurate financial control, timely reporting, and insightful management information to support strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure smooth running of the company’s finances.
• Produce monthly management accounts and relevant management information.
• Prepare statutory accounts and liaise with auditors on all accounting and tax matters.
• Lead and develop the finance team, fostering continuous professional development.
• Assist directors with cash‑flow forecasting, budgeting and overall growth strategy.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Demonstrated strong career progression in finance.
• Proven ability to lead, manage and develop a finance team.
• Strong commercial instinct and ability to support commercial decisions.
