Financial Controller

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well‑established organisation experiencing strong commercial growth. As Financial Controller you will own the finance function, work closely with senior management and help drive strategic decisions in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all daily finance operations, ensuring robust controls.
• Produce accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Monitor cash flow, budgets and financial forecasts.
• Manage VAT submissions and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Coordinate year‑end processes and liaise with external accountants and auditors.
• Develop and enhance financial procedures, reporting systems and internal controls.
• Provide financial analysis and commercial support to senior stakeholders.
• Supervise key finance processes including reconciliations, supplier payments and ledger management.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
• Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance leadership role.
• Strong understanding of management accounting, financial reporting and cash‑flow management.
• Excellent analytical skills with a commercial approach to problem solving.
• Confidence communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with accounting software packages (e.g., QuickBooks).
