Financial Controller – Lead Finance Function

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, hands‑on Financial Controller to lead our finance function as we scale from £20 million to £70 million in annual bar production. You will be a key member of the leadership team, driving financial controls, reporting and strategic decision‑making to support sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust financial controls and accurate, timely reporting.
• Support investment decisions and shape long‑term financial strategy.
• Safeguard profitability, manage risk and enable sustainable growth.
• Lead and develop the finance team.
• Utilise Business Intelligence tools to provide actionable insights.

Required profile

• Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
• Solid practical experience in a fast‑paced, preferably manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience leading a finance team.
• Experience working with BI tools.
• Background in food, manufacturing or personal‑care sectors, ideally with contract manufacturing exposure.
