Financial Controller – London (6‑9 month contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join a global investment firm’s London finance team on a 6‑9 month fixed‑term basis. You will be responsible for the monthly financial and statutory reporting for the UK entities and will work closely with senior management to provide insight into performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee monthly financial and statutory reporting for UK entities.
• Review work performed by outsourced service providers.
• Lead month‑end close and explain key variances and trends to senior management.
• Prepare annual budgeting, forecasting and management fee calculations.
• Own balance‑sheet items, cash‑flow management and audit liaison.
• Drive process improvement, automation and ad‑hoc projects as required.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with 5‑10 years post‑qualification experience.
• Demonstrated experience reporting under UK GAAP.
• Background in private equity, private credit or similar investment environments is desirable.
• Strong consolidation experience and ability to manage a small finance team.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP reporting standards.
• Experience in consolidations and group financial statements.
