Financial Controller – Luxury Hotel

About the role

The WestDill Mayfair Hotel is launching its flagship property in London and seeks a Financial Controller to partner closely with hotel management. You will combine strategic insight with hands‑on financial management to support the hotel’s opening and ongoing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a strategic financial partner to the executive team, supporting business decisions and long‑term planning.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes for the hotel.
• Share responsibility for profitability, cost control and investment decisions.
• Analyse cost structures, staffing levels and inventory processes to identify risks and efficiencies.
• Support and train department heads on financial reporting and budget ownership.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting, transparency and compliance with internal and external standards.
• Maintain a strong hands‑on presence, balancing strategic oversight with operational involvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance professional in the luxury hospitality sector.
• Strong strategic mindset with excellent numerical and analytical abilities.
• Hands‑on, business‑oriented approach thriving in a small‑scale, high‑quality hotel environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
• High level of initiative, ownership and proactive problem‑solving.
