Financial Controller – Luxury Retail (Hybrid, London)

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Financial Controller to lead a small finance team within a fast‑growing luxury retail brand. This hybrid role, based in London, offers the chance to influence strategic decisions, improve financial processes and support the company’s expansion across the UK and US.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a finance team of four professionals.
• Own month‑end, year‑end, management reporting and audit processes.
• Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision‑making.
• Strengthen financial controls, governance and compliance for UK and US operations.
• Drive process improvements, automation and ERP enhancements.
• Manage cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, consolidations, tax and statutory reporting.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
• 4–5 years of post‑qualification experience in finance.
• Strong technical accounting and financial control expertise.
• Proven experience leading and developing finance teams.
• Commercially‑aware, proactive and hands‑on approach.
• Experience in retail, luxury, founder‑led or PE‑backed businesses is a plus.
