Financial Controller – Luxury Retail (London, Hybrid)

About the role

Ready to take ownership of a finance function at the heart of a high‑growth luxury brand? Our client seeks an ambitious, commercially‑minded Financial Controller to lead a talented finance team, drive business performance, and ensure robust financial control and sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a finance team of four.
• Own month‑end, year‑end, management reporting, and audit processes.
• Deliver insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision‑making.
• Strengthen financial controls, governance, and compliance across UK and US operations.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and ERP enhancements.
• Manage cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, consolidations, tax, and statutory reporting activities.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
• 4–5 years post‑qualified experience.
• Strong technical accounting and financial control expertise.
• Proven experience leading and developing finance teams.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach with excellent commercial awareness.
• Experience in retail, luxury, founder‑led, or PE‑backed businesses is highly advantageous.
