Financial Controller – On‑site at Lambton Park

About the role

This on‑site Financial Controller position sits at the heart of Lambton Park, a historic estate with diverse commercial activities. Reporting to the Resident Agent and Trustees, you will own the finance function across multiple entities and help shape the estate’s financial future.

Key responsibilities

• Full ownership of multi‑entity accounting and financial reporting
• Preparation of management accounts, budgets and cash‑flow forecasts
• Oversight of bookkeeping, VAT returns and inter‑entity reconciliations
• Ensuring robust financial processes and controls across estate activities
• Supporting year‑end accounts and liaising with external accountants
• Acting as the primary finance contact for trustees, advisers and the family

Required profile

• Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or strong QBE background
• Experience managing multiple entities, preferably within a complex group
• Hands‑on approach, comfortable moving between transactional work and senior reporting
• Confidence engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including trustees and non‑finance contacts
• Proactive, resilient and able to adapt to shifting priorities
