Financial Controller – Renewable Energy (Hybrid, London)

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Controller to join a fast‑growing, PE‑backed renewables business that is pivotal to the UK’s clean‑energy transition. Based in London with a hybrid working model, you will lead technical accounting, compliance and financial control across a multi‑entity, asset‑heavy group.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly management accounts and tighten the month‑end close cycle.
• Prepare statutory accounts under FRS 102 and coordinate year‑end audits.
• Oversee corporate tax filings and liaise with external advisers.
• Ensure accuracy of intercompany reconciliations and group reporting.
• Strengthen internal controls and support finance system improvements.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification with strong hands‑on technical accounting skills.
• Proven experience in statutory reporting, tax and intercompany balances.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
• Proactive mindset with a track record of spotting issues and taking ownership.
• Full right to work in the UK (no sponsorship).
