Financial Controller – Southwest London

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function of a financially stable, growing company based in Southwest London. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will ensure accurate reporting, robust controls and support strategic commercial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day finance operations, including purchase ledger, payments and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for senior management.
• Monitor cash flow, support budgeting and financial planning activities.
• Manage VAT returns and ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements.
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors and other professional advisers.
• Review and improve financial processes and internal controls to support business growth.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Previous experience in a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting and cash‑flow management.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships across the business.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• QuickBooks (advantageous).
