Financial Controls Manager

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated finance professional to join Nomad Foods as a Financial Controls Manager. Based in Woking, you will work with a talented team supporting some of Europe’s largest frozen food brands such as Birdseye, Aunt Bessie, Findus and Goodfella pizzas.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the implementation, communication, training, monitoring and improvement of the group financial controls framework, including RACM and Entity Level Controls.
• Support the Head of Internal Controls to embed and sustain the framework across Nomad operations.
• Design, maintain and refresh Entity Level and Acquisition Controls, providing guidance to control owners.
• Work with the Workiva platform to manage controls documentation and reporting.
• Oversee cash management process controls, including bank account administration.
• Provide expertise to IT controls and ensure integration of financial controls within IT systems.
• Participate in committees and meetings to stay informed of organisational and operational changes.
• Proactively support group acquisitions to ensure controls are planned and executed without deficiencies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial controls, risk management and internal audit environments.
• Ability to act as a group expert and lead cross‑functional control initiatives.
• Strong communication skills to educate and influence stakeholders on risks and controls.
• Experience working with shared services or multinational finance teams.
• Ability to work proactively and pre‑emptively on acquisition‑related controls.
