Financial Modeller – Valuations (Contract)

About the role

An experienced financial modelling specialist is required to support a high‑profile transformation programme for a leading global private‑markets investment platform. The role focuses on designing scalable Excel‑based solutions that underpin portfolio reporting, data collection and valuation processes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and enhance advanced Excel templates to capture financial and KPI data across a diverse portfolio.
• Build scalable, structured models with strong data validation and auditability.
• Automate workflows using Power Query, VBA/macros, and other advanced Excel techniques.
• Support data mapping, reconciliation, and integration with wider reporting systems.
• Improve data quality, consistency, and governance across financial processes.
• Partner with finance, valuation, and data teams to translate requirements into practical tools.
• Contribute to broader automation and process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in financial modelling, data/process design, or financial systems.
• Background in Big 4 Transaction Services/Deals/Valuations or a private‑equity/asset‑management environment.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, KPIs and data flows.
• Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders across finance, portfolio monitoring and technology.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (including robust, scalable template design).
• Power Query and Power Pivot.
• VBA/macros for automation.
• Financial modelling techniques.
• Data validation and auditability.
