Financial Planner – Manage £30m Client Bank

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Planner to take over a high‑quality client portfolio of approximately £30 million AUM from a retiring adviser in St Albans. You will join an independent wealth‑management firm that values long‑term client relationships and offers full back‑office support.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop an existing client portfolio, ensuring a smooth handover.
• Provide holistic financial planning covering pensions, investments, protection and estate planning.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships, upholding the firm’s reputation for quality advice.
• Collaborate with a dedicated paraplanning and administrative team.
• Generate additional business through referrals and ongoing client engagement.

Required profile

• Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (Chartered qualification or working towards it is a plus).
• Minimum 3‑5 years’ experience as a Financial Adviser/Planner.
• Strong technical knowledge across all areas of financial planning.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑management skills.
• Professional, ethical and client‑focused approach.

Required skills

• Proficiency with financial planning tools and platforms.
• Knowledge of investment products and regulatory requirements.
