Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst (12‑month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

This 12‑month fixed‑term position supports a well‑established manufacturing business in Wiltshire. You will work closely with operational teams and senior stakeholders, providing financial insight that drives performance and informs decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support month‑end reporting processes.
• Analyse financial performance and deliver clear insights to stakeholders.
• Prepare and review balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Deliver budgeting and forecasting cycles.
• Develop and track KPIs across manufacturing operations.
• Support capital‑expenditure planning and reporting.
• Provide financial insight on R&D spend.
• Act as a finance business partner to operational and non‑finance teams.
• Drive continuous improvement in reporting and analysis.
• Produce reports and insights using Sage and Excel.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an FP&A or Financial Planning Analyst role.
• Strong background in month‑end, budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience within a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
• Confidence working with large data sets in Excel.
• Ability to partner effectively with non‑finance stakeholders.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and commercially minded.

Required skills

• Sage (or similar ERP system).
• Advanced Excel for large‑data analysis.

What we offer

• Salary up to £50,000 per year.
• 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
