Financial Planning Analyst – Power BI & FP&A

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Planning Analyst with strong Power BI expertise to join a market‑leading client in Chester. The role focuses on building and enhancing Power BI reporting and dashboards while supporting core FP&A activities such as month‑end and weekly reporting and budgeting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve Power BI reports, scorecards and interactive dashboards.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into user‑friendly reporting outputs.
• Support data quality, testing and issue resolution for reporting solutions.
• Produce accurate weekly and month‑end performance reports.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis and ad‑hoc projects.

Required profile

• Previous experience in FP&A, financial reporting, commercial finance or business analysis.
• Experience working in a multi‑site organisation.
• Familiarity with Business Central, Jet Reports, data warehouses or similar reporting systems.

Required skills

• Power BI (dashboard design, data visualisation, report development)
• Excel (advanced analytical work with large data sets)
• Data modelling and transformation
• Business Central or Jet Reports (or comparable reporting tools)
• Data warehouse concepts
