Financial Planning Team Leader

About the role

This position offers a unique blend of people management and hands‑on financial planning. You will lead a team of Financial Planners while continuing to manage a portfolio of high‑net‑worth clients, delivering holistic advice across investments, pensions and protection.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Financial Planners, conducting regular 1‑2‑1s and structured development meetings.
• Support less experienced advisers, helping them improve productivity, capacity and overall performance.
• Maintain high standards of financial advice and client outcomes, overseeing adviser development through training and competence frameworks.
• Identify opportunities to improve advice processes, efficiency and consistency using management information.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Operations, HR, Growth and Proposition teams.
• Manage your own portfolio of established high‑net‑worth clients, providing holistic financial planning.

Required profile

• Chartered Financial Planner status.
• At least 5 years' experience as an Independent Financial Adviser.
• Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, protection and wider financial planning.
• Experience working with high‑net‑worth clients and complex planning requirements.
• Previous experience of managing, coaching or mentoring Financial Planners.
