Financial & Product Accountant

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established international banking group to hire a Financial & Product Accountant for its London Finance team. This hybrid role offers broad exposure to financial reporting, management accounting, treasury, budgeting and regulatory reporting within a regulated banking environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate month‑end management accounts, financial reports and performance analysis.
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure appropriate accounting treatment for a range of financial transactions.
• Produce balance‑sheet reconciliations, accruals, pre‑payments and supporting schedules.
• Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and external audit requirements.
• Develop management information packs and reporting for senior leadership and governance committees.
• Analyse financial performance against budget, investigate variances and provide commentary.
• Assist with the annual budgeting and forecasting process across the Finance function.
• Contribute to treasury and regulatory reporting activities as required.

Required profile

• Recently qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant.
• Experience auditing banking or brokerage clients, or working within a banking/financial‑services finance function.
• Motivation to develop a well‑rounded banking finance career.
