Financial Reporting Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Reporting Manager to join the community hub team on a six‑month contract. The role is based in Leatherhead and requires a blend of technical accounting expertise and leadership to deliver high‑quality month‑end and year‑end reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver timely month‑end and year‑end closes, producing consolidated management accounts with actionable performance insight.
• Lead statutory reporting and audit processes, ensuring compliance with FRS 102 and meeting Board deadlines.
• Own the balance sheet and financial control environment, maintaining full reconciliations and proactive risk management.
• Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal policies.
• Drive continuous improvement, standardisation and automation across reporting, controls and systems.
• Lead, develop and motivate the finance team, fostering ownership and high‑quality output.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with strong technical knowledge of FRS 102.
• Proven experience delivering statutory accounts and managing external audits under tight deadlines.
• Extensive background in group consolidations and multi‑entity reporting environments.
• Demonstrated ownership of month‑end/year‑end close and balance‑sheet integrity.
• Deep understanding of financial controls, governance and audit readiness.
• Strong leadership and people‑management experience.
