Financial Reporting Manager

About the role

This position sits within the UK finance leadership team of a leading international professional services organisation. Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will own the end‑to‑end financial reporting process for the UK entity while driving transformation and efficiency across the function.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting cycle, delivering high‑quality management accounts and board packs.
• Prepare and review statutory financial statements under UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Manage the year‑end external audit process and act as the primary finance contact for auditors.
• Oversee month‑end close across multiple legal entities.
• Identify and implement automation and AI‑enabled solutions to streamline reporting.
• Champion continuous improvement of reporting controls, governance and best‑practice standards.
• Support finance transformation initiatives, system optimisation and process standardisation.
• Manage, mentor and develop a small team of qualified accountants.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualification with at least five years post‑qualified experience.
• Extensive experience in financial reporting and control within a large, complex organisation.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Proven track record of leading external audits and statutory reporting.
• Experience working across multiple legal entities.

Required skills

• Advanced SAP (FICO/General Ledger) proficiency.
• Expert Excel skills.
• Familiarity with consolidation tools such as BPC.
• Knowledge of UK GAAP.
• Knowledge of IFRS.
