Financial Reporting Manager

About the role

A well‑established professional services firm is seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to join its growing team in Southampton. The role combines technical financial reporting expertise with leadership of a diverse client portfolio, offering autonomy and the chance to make a genuine impact.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the delivery and review of financial reporting assignments across multiple clients.
• Lead, mentor and develop junior team members.
• Monitor workflow to ensure projects meet agreed timescales.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Act as an escalation point for technical and operational matters.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance client service.
• Support business development activities and contribute to team growth.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with solid financial reporting experience in practice.
• Previous experience managing or supervising staff.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, commercial approach with ability to manage multiple priorities.
