Financial Reporting Manager – £60k-£70k

About the role

TPF Recruitment is partnering with a top‑tier Chartered Accountancy practice in Maidstone to hire a Financial Reporting Manager. This role offers a qualified accountant the chance to lead technical financial reporting work, develop junior staff and influence client service within a forward‑thinking firm.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of statutory accounts, financial reports, consolidations and disclosures in line with IFRS, UK GAAP (FRS 102) and Charities SORP.
• Act as the primary client contact on complex financial reporting matters and provide expert judgement.
• Support audit teams with technical queries and year‑end processes.
• Oversee finalisation of statutory financial statements and ensure compliance with evolving standards.
• Manage and develop junior members of the financial reporting team.
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver seamless client service and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
• Background in audit or financial reporting.
• Strong technical expertise in financial reporting and statutory accounts.
• Proven experience preparing and reviewing consolidations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage client relationships.
• Experience supervising or mentoring staff is advantageous.
