Financial Systems Manager – Sage X3 (Freight)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Financial Systems Manager to join a leading freight operation in North Acton. The role combines financial reporting, budgeting and system optimisation, with a strong focus on Sage X3 within a logistics environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L reporting, variance analysis and commentary.
• Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes and produce KPI dashboards.
• Analyse costs, margins and profitability across departments and projects.
• Support pricing analysis, commercial reporting and business case development.
• Partner with operational teams to provide financial insight and assist with year‑end accounts.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and drive efficiency improvements.
• Act as the primary contact for Sage X3 support, maintenance and development.
• Liaise with external software providers and manage system upgrades.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data across all systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Financial Systems Manager, Management Accountant or similar finance role.
• Previous experience within logistics or freight operations.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non‑finance stakeholders.
• Relevant qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) – qualified or part‑qualified.

What we offer

• Competitive salary £60,000 – £80,000 per year, dependent on experience.
• Full‑time permanent contract.
• Monday‑Friday working hours (8:00‑17:00 or 9:00‑18:00).
• On‑site role in North Acton, South East England.
