Fine Limit Sheet Metal Worker – Precision Aerospace Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Fine Limit Sheet Metal Worker to join a leading aerospace and defence fabrication team. You will produce high‑precision sheet metal components using both conventional and exotic alloys, ensuring every part meets exacting tolerances.

Key responsibilities

• Manufacture precision sheet metal parts using bending, cutting, pressing, riveting and other fabrication techniques.
• Perform deburring, drilling, trimming, filing and grinding to achieve flawless finishes.
• Set up and operate fly presses, brake presses and linishers.
• Hand‑form prototype panels and complex components from flat sheet material.
• Interpret engineering drawings, sketches and verbal instructions accurately.
• Inspect completed work for compliance with drawings and quality standards.
• Maintain tooling, jigs and fixtures in good condition.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in precision sheet metal fabrication.
• Strong background in fine‑limit work within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Required skills

• Bending, cutting, pressing, riveting, marking out, measuring, stretching, assembly.
• Deburring, drilling, trimming, filing, grinding.
• Operation of fly presses, brake presses, linishers.
• Hand‑forming of sheet metal.
• Interpretation of engineering drawings.
• Fabrication with aluminium, stainless steel, titanium and Inconel.
