Fire and Security Engineer

About the role

Excellent opportunity for an experienced Fire and Security Engineer to join a well‑established contractor based in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The company specialises in the installation, maintenance and commissioning of fire alarms, emergency lighting, access control, door entry, intruder alarms, CCTV and related electrical work.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on fire and security systems.
• Respond to reactive service calls and perform small installations.
• Service fire alarm, door entry, access control and security alarm equipment.
• Participate in on‑call standby rota and provide support as required.

Required profile

• Industry‑specific accredited qualification (or working towards one).
• Strong understanding of BS 5839‑1.
• Minimum three years’ experience in fire and security engineering.
• Valid full driving licence.
