Fire Detection/Suppression Project Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead fire detection and fire suppression installations across the South East of England. The role involves overseeing project delivery from design through commissioning, ensuring compliance with UK fire standards and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and control fire detection, alarm and suppression projects.
• Manage budgets, cost variations and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams to deliver high‑quality installations.
• Oversee commissioning, testing and handover of fire systems, including O&M documentation.
• Maintain health and safety compliance on site, including CSCS/ECS certifications.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing fire detection, alarm or suppression projects in the UK.
• Knowledge of BS 5839 (fire alarm) and BS 5838 (fire detection) standards.
• Relevant construction certifications such as SSSTS, SMSTS, CSCS/ECS, with an ECS Black Card preferred.
• Ability to work on sites commutable to Slough, West London or the wider South East.

• Project budgeting, cost control and variation management.
• Health and safety compliance (CSCS/ECS).
