Fire Engineer – Field Service (London)

About the role

Join a forward‑thinking, growing company as a Fire Engineer based in London and the Home Counties. You will travel to customer sites to carry out preventive maintenance, emergency call‑outs, fault‑finding and system modifications for fire safety installations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver planned preventive maintenance (PM) for fire safety systems within the allocated region.
• Respond promptly to emergency call‑outs and unscheduled work, meeting SLA commitments.
• Complete service worksheets and documentation in line with BS5839 and company procedures.
• Provide feedback on site issues, non‑compliances and additional work opportunities to the Field Services Manager.
• Conduct follow‑up visits to ensure remedial work is finished within agreed timeframes.
• Support other departments with installation projects when required.
• Maintain strong professional relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines, using correct PPE and equipment.

Required profile

• Problem‑solving mindset and accountability for own actions.

Required skills

• Good IT skills.
• FIA Foundation knowledge with extensive understanding of BS5839.
• Fault‑finding expertise on fire safety systems.
• Experience modifying fire safety system configurations.
