Fire Risk Assessor

About the role

UBT is seeking a qualified Fire Risk Assessor to join its service team. The role will be based at Hinckley Point C and will involve delivering high‑quality fire risk assessments for construction‑sector clients.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct fire risk assessments on customer sites across the construction industry.
• Complete all risk‑assessment documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of British Standards and fire‑safety legislation.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for customer queries.
• Stay informed on fire alarm, emergency lighting and signage design specifications.
• Attend customer‑facing meetings when required.
• Work autonomously, managing your own diary to meet client needs.

Required profile

• Level 3 education plus NEBOSH/IOSH Level 4 Fire Risk Assessment qualification (essential).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to sites as this is a field‑based role.
• Relevant health and safety training (IOSH/NEBOSH) and fire/safety certifications (FIA/FPA, etc.).
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
