Fire & Security Engineer – Croydon

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Fire & Security Engineer to join a growing team serving South London and surrounding areas. The role is field‑based, covering a variety of client sites and offering a competitive salary with overtime opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, repair, fault‑find and maintain fire alarm, intruder alarm, CCTV and access control systems.
• Work across multiple manufacturers and ensure high‑quality workmanship on every job.
• Communicate effectively with customers, providing clear updates and professional service.
• Support fellow team members when required and contribute to a safe working environment.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• At least 3 years’ experience in the fire and security sector.
• Enthusiastic, self‑motivated and able to seize opportunities.
• Willingness to train in any single discipline if needed.
• Desirable qualifications: IPAF, CSCS/ECS, FIA, City & Guilds.

Required skills

• Fire alarm system installation and maintenance.
• Intruder alarm system installation and maintenance.
• CCTV system installation and maintenance.
• Access control system installation and maintenance.
• Fault‑finding and repair of fire and security equipment.
• Knowledge of multiple manufacturers' products.
