Fire & Security Engineer – Field Based Role

About the role

We are seeking a Fire & Security Engineer to join a leading fire and security services provider. The role is field‑based, involving the maintenance, fault‑finding and support of a wide range of electronic security systems for commercial clients across South East England.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on intruder alarm, access control, CCTV and intercom systems.
• Diagnose faults and perform reactive repairs on site or remotely.
• Provide technical support to clients and internal teams, ensuring high levels of customer service.
• Assist engineers and clients with technical queries and promote best practice.
• Maintain company equipment and vehicle stock responsibly.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Security Systems Engineer, CCTV Engineer, Access Control Engineer, Intruder Alarm Engineer or similar.
• Strong background in the security industry with a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong organisational ability.

• Competitive salary £35,000‑£45,000 plus travel, on‑call and overtime allowances (OTE £43,000‑£60,000).
