Fire & Security Engineer – Up to £45k

About the role

We are seeking a Fire & Security Engineer to join our client’s growing team in Middlesbrough. The role is full‑time, permanent and involves servicing a range of fire alarm, intruder alarm, CCTV and access control systems across the North East.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, repair, fault‑find and maintain fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control systems.
• Cover multiple sites in the North East and surrounding areas.
• Work with a variety of manufacturers’ equipment.
• Ensure high quality of work and effective communication with customers.
• Support team members and complete tasks efficiently.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• At least 3 years’ experience in the fire and security sector (or willingness to train).
• Positive attitude, self‑motivation and enthusiasm for the role.

Required skills

• Installation and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
• Installation and maintenance of intruder alarm systems.
• Installation and maintenance of CCTV and access control systems.
• Knowledge of a range of manufacturers.
• Relevant qualifications such as IPAF, CSCS/ECS, FIA or City & Guilds (desirable).
