Fire & Security Service Engineer (Staffordshire)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Fire & Security Service Engineer to join a well‑established business serving commercial, industrial and domestic sites across the West Midlands. You will be responsible for maintaining, servicing and troubleshooting a wide range of fire and security systems.

Key responsibilities

• Planned preventative maintenance visits
• Reactive service and breakdown attendance
• Fault finding, diagnosis and repairs
• Occasional installation work where required
• Participation in an on‑call rota (one week in six)

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience servicing fire and security systems
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
• Strong fault‑finding abilities and good attendance record
• Computer literate and comfortable using mobile devices/PDA
• Full UK driving licence and ability to pass industry‑standard security screening

Required skills

• Galaxy intruder alarm systems (essential)
• Texecom, Scantronic, Menvier (desirable)
• CCTV – analogue and IP systems
• Remote monitoring systems
• Advanced fire alarm systems – Kentec, Ziton, C‑Tec (essential)
• Paxton Net2 access control
