Fire Surveyor

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Fire Surveyor to join our independent fire consultancy on a fully remote basis, supporting complex projects across London and the Home Counties. The role involves occasional site visits and overnight stays as required.

Key responsibilities

• Produce high‑quality Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) reports for a wide range of building types, including heritage assets, commercial, residential and mixed‑use properties.
• Develop retrospective fire strategies, fire safety management plans, audits, occupancy reviews and RIBA stage 2‑6 fire reports.
• Provide client‑facing consultancy and conduct site monitoring for Regulation 38 safety cases.
• Maintain clear, concise and technically accurate documentation for all deliverables.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience across multiple building archetypes and a pragmatic approach to fire safety guidance.
• Strong written communication and organisational skills to manage remote work and client interaction.
• Professional integrity and the ability to represent the fire safety industry positively.
• Relevant qualifications such as a Fire Safety Degree (BSc) and/or CFPA Diploma Level 4/5 (or working towards them).
