Fitness Instructor

About the role

GLL is seeking an energetic Fitness Instructor to join the team at The Didcot Wave. You will inspire members to achieve their fitness goals, deliver personalised programmes and lead group sessions in a vibrant community environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct client inductions, assess abilities and design bespoke exercise programmes.
• Deliver one‑to‑one and group training sessions, including classes where qualified.
• Monitor equipment, ensure safety standards and maintain accurate client records.
• Analyse client progress, set short‑, medium‑ and long‑term goals and adjust programmes accordingly.
• Produce programme cards and provide advice on exercise adaptations.

Required profile

• Minimum Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification (or equivalent).
• Physical fitness and a proactive, can‑do attitude.
• Attention to detail for paperwork and safety compliance.
• Passion for fitness and ability to build trust with members.

Required skills

• Fitness instruction and personal training programme design.
• Group exercise class delivery.
• Client assessment and goal‑setting.
• Knowledge of gym equipment and safe exercise practices.
