Fixed Term Band 5 Staff Nurse (Health Visiting)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Band 5 Staff Nurse (Health Visiting) to join our Health Visiting Team in Bath & North East Somerset. The role is part‑time (22.5 hours per week), fixed‑term for one year, and based at St Martins Hospital – Kempthorne House.

Key responsibilities

• Work within the Staff Nurse competency framework and achieve team KPIs.
• Identify health needs of children and families early and provide targeted support.
• Collaborate with Early Years services, children’s centres and community settings.
• Support infant feeding and parent‑infant relationships following Baby Friendly Initiative standards.
• Complete Family Health Needs assessments and report concerns to the Specialist Community Public Health Nurse.
• Deliver interventions using the Solihull Foundation Approach and Five to Thrive trauma‑informed practice.
• Provide ongoing support to allocated families and update the health visitor on significant changes.

Required profile

• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in a nursing field.
• Experience working with children and families.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
