Fixed Term Night Housekeeping Assistant

About the role

Join the housekeeping team at New Hall Hospital on a fixed‑term basis, providing night‑time cleaning support across clinical and non‑clinical areas. You will help maintain the high hygiene standards required in a busy spinal hospital, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for patients and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties on the night shift (20:00‑02:00) across all hospital departments.
• Maintain required hygiene and infection‑prevention standards.
• Support the hospital’s reputation for quality and cleanliness.
• Adapt to a rolling roster and occasional weekend or evening work.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service focus, as the role is patient‑facing.
• Positive, can‑do attitude and ability to learn quickly.
• Good interpersonal skills and flexibility for shift changes.
• Ability to manage own workload and work both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Hospital infection prevention knowledge.
• Cleaning protocols.
