Fixed Wire Electrical Tester – Commercial Sites

About the role

We are seeking a Fixed Wire Electrical Tester to carry out fixed‑wire circuit testing across commercial properties in the Bristol, Bath and Swindon area. The role involves visiting offices, retail units and supermarkets to ensure electrical installations meet the latest regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform fixed‑wire electrical circuit testing in commercial buildings.
• Carry out PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) and emergency lighting inspections where required.
• Document test results and issue compliance certificates.
• Maintain testing equipment and ensure it is calibrated.
• Travel to sites across South West England using company van and fuel card.

Required profile

• Reside in or near Bristol, Bath or Swindon.
• Hold a valid 18th Edition qualification and Electrical 2391 testing certificate (or equivalent).
• AM2 certificate or NVQ Level 3 in electrical testing is highly desirable.
• Ability to pass a DBS check.
• Strong customer service orientation when on‑site.
