Fleet Co-ordinator

About the role

We are seeking an organised and proactive Fleet Co‑ordinator to join our busy fleet operation in Warrington. You will play a key role in ensuring vehicles are available, compliant and moving efficiently across a mixed fleet of HGVs, trailers, cars and vans.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day vehicle defect management across the fleet.
• Manage Vehicle Off Road (VOR) events from escalation to resolution.
• Escalate safety‑critical defects and ground vehicles when required.
• Monitor driver walk‑around checks and follow up on missed submissions.
• Tri­age defects and arrange repairs with external suppliers.
• Book vehicles for unplanned maintenance and oversee workshop scheduling.
• Maintain accurate defect, repair and supplier records within the Fleet Management System.
• Serve as the first point of contact for drivers with fleet‑related queries.
• Liaise with maintenance suppliers on repair progress, ETAs and vehicle returns.
• Escalate issues that could impact operational service levels and support incident and insurance information handling.

Required profile

• Previous experience in coordination, scheduling, logistics administration or a similar role.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to remain calm, accurate and proactive in a fast‑paced operational environment.

Required skills

• Experience using a Fleet Management System (FMS) or transport management software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Good working knowledge of Windows operating systems.

What we offer

• Permanent contract with a salary of £28,500 per annum.
